President Erdogan: Turkey will not accept any attempt to threaten Syria’s stability

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed today that his country will not accept any attempt to threaten Syria’s stability.

He added that Turkey will not allow the imposition of a fait accompli in the region.
“We will not allow any issue in our region, nor any initiative that threatens or endangers permanent stability in Syria and the region,” the Anatolia Agency quoted Erdogan as saying today in a statement to reporters on his plane while returning from Italy.
Erdogan stressed the importance of ensuring the unity of the Syrian territories, that all components work for one Syria, and mobilizing its energies for this purpose.
Erdogan pointed out that the Israeli occupation raids on Syria are an attempt to undermine the positive climate that started with the new administration in Damascus.
He indicated that these raids are an unacceptable provocation.
