Syrian-Swedish talks to enhance cooperation in the field of transportation

Yarub Badr, minister of Transport discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy Jessica Svardström means of joint cooperation in the field of transportation.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry’s building in Damascus today, the two sides reviewed development projects in various kinds of transportation. They emphasized the need to find practical steps to achieve common goals and visions and benefit from Swedish experiences in the fields of transportation and communications.

Minister Badr highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, in the interest of both countries, and the importance of increasing cooperation in the field of transportation by working to assist Syria in rehabilitating and developing its road and rail transportation system.

Svardström expressed her country’s readiness to provide full support to the Syrian people in the transportation sector, noting that the proposed ideas will be studied, experiences evaluated, and the necessary foundations for their implementation will be laid.
