Statement of Leader of Druze community in Syria regrading attempts to sow discord in Syria

Leader of Druze community in Syria, Sheikh Akel of Al-Muwahedeen (Druze) , Youssef Jarbou, issued a statement regarding attempts to sow discord among members of the Syrian society.

He said:

● We affirm that what we are witnessing today on social media is an attempt to sow discord in the Syrian society, as some parties are seeking to divide society into factions and sects and spread internal panic.

● These attempts serve the enemies of Syria and the enemies of the homeland.

● We call on our people in Syria to be patient and reasonable in the face of these events, and to adhere to our national unity.

● The insults made by some individuals against our Prophet Muhammad (peace Be Upon Him) are completely unacceptable. Such actions represent only their perpetrators, and we will not accept anyone insulting the prophets.

● We will demand that those responsible for these actions be held accountable.

● We in Syria have become accustomed to being united in one country, and we all work for the good of the homeland and the nation.

● We will remain, as always, a strong supporter of peace, security, and love, and we will only accept what serves the Syrian society and strengthens its unity.

● We trust the wise men in this country to overcome these sedition attempts, and we call on everyone to unite to confront the conspiracies being hatched against Syria.
