Aboul Gheit: We condemn the repeated Israeli occupation attacks on Syrian territories

The Secretary -General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the repeated Israeli occupation attacks on Syrian territories, and Israel’s open attempt to fuel sedition and conflicts in Syria.

The Arab League website quoted Aboul Gheit as saying in a speech today during the 163rd session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in Cairo that it is necessary to stop the war of extermination launched by the Israeli occupation on Gaza Strip.

He indicated that the complete silence over this inhuman situation is shameful.

Aboul Gheit also condemned Israel’s continuous attacks on Lebanon and the repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.

He explained that Israel is seeking to impose a new reality on the region through aggravating tension and intensifying raids, and creating buffer zones that take over the sovereignty of Arab countries and confiscate lands from these countries under false pretexts.

Aboul Gheit called on countries of the world to pressure the Israeli occupation to withdraw from Arab lands.
