US Senator: US Should remove Obstacles to cooperation with the Syrian government

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen stated:

 

● I sent a letter to the Secretaries of State and Treasury to remove obstacles to cooperation with the Syrian government.

 

● My message emphasized that the fall of Assad regime is an opportunity to enhance our security interests and stabilize the Middle East.

 

● I urge the administration to expedite the reduction of sanctions risks on vital sectors in Syria.

 

● I call on the administration to expand the temporary sanctions relief in Syria.

 

● We hope that the US administration will complete its ongoing revision of its policy towards Syria.
