Saudi Arabia and Egypt stress the need to preserve Syria’s unity and sovereignty

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt today reaffirmed the need to preserve the unity and sovereignty of Syria and condemned Israeli violations of Syrian territory.

Al-Ahram Gate website reported that this came during the meeting held by the follow-up and Political Consultation Committee between the two countries in Riyadh under the chairmanship of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdel Ati.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, reject all forms of foreign interference, support a comprehensive political process, combat terrorism, and condemn repeated Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty.
