Syrian Arab Army Destroys Tunnel Outside Damascus, Targets Terrorists in Several Areas

PROVINCES,(ST)_Military sources have confirmed the death of a large numbers of terrorists in qualitative operations in several areas outside Daraa, Homs, Idleb and Damascus provinces.

The sources were quoted today on the official news agency (SANA) as citing that army units targeted terrorist groupings in towns of al-Dwayeh al-Soghra, Em al-Awsaj and Kherbet Mama as well as on Jasem-Nawa road, Hrak-Soura road, al-Lajah and Daraa al-Balad area in southern Daraa province.

Many terrorists were killed and several cars for terrorists were destroyed in the said areas.

 

More terrorists were eliminated in al-Sekkari area, to the south of Palmyra, and in towns of Sharshouh, al-Farhaneyeh, Housh al-Taleb and al-Shab’aneyeh in Talbeseh outside Homs province, according to a military source.

The source added that the army units, in cooperation with the defense forces and locals of Jabborin town, warded off terrorist groups’ infiltration bid from al-Rastan and Talbiseh into the town of Jabborin.  

In the same province [Homs], terrorists detonated two explosive devices which were planted on Homs-Salameyeh road, killing three civilians and wounding several others.

Meanwhile, the army units crushed many terrorists on the outskirt of Jabal al-Arba’en, Bainain, Qminas and at Sermin junction as well as near towns of Edwan and Heleh in Idleb province.

A military source said that the army units wiped out several cars equipped with heavy machineguns and confiscated two other cars loaded with missiles and munitions near towns of Edwan and Heleh.

300-meter long tunnel destroyed

While in Damascus countryside, the army units killed a terrorist group in al-Thawra town in al-Kesweh area, destroyed a 300-meter long tunnel linking Duma and Harasta farms and struck terrorist groupings in al-Darkhabeyeh and Drosheh towns and in Khan al-Sheih area.
