Minister of Economy and Industry: We Will Seek to Establish a Syrian-American Businessmen Association

The Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Mohammad Nidal Al-Sha’ar, announced his efforts to assist and advise in the formation of the Syrian-American Businessmen Association, hoping that this council will become a strong part in building the new Syria.

Minister Al-Sha’ar said in a post on his Facebook account that this effort to form the Business Council will be part of his work program during his upcoming visit to the United States next month, specifically in Washington, Michigan, Texas, and California.

Minister Al-Sha’ar said: “There is enormous Syrian talent, expertise, and potential in America, and they dream and wish to contribute. It is our duty to embrace them and do whatever is necessary to fulfill their dreams in Syria, which is dear to all of us.”

The minister’s post came in response to some questions about his absence from the Syrian delegation visiting the United States this week, where he explained: “Here, I would like to clarify that the delegation has two parts: the first is political, and it is in New York, while the second is purely financial, and it is in Washington, D.C.”
