Minister al-Sha’ar: Bulat’s Visit Marks the Beginning of Strong Economic Cooperation Between Syria and Turkey

Dr. Mohammed Nidal al-Sha’ar, the Minister of Economy and Industry, stated that the recent visit of Turkish Trade Minister Omar Bulat to Syria was productive and highlights the strong ties between the two nations. “The visit was productive and allowed us to discuss many important topics. It reflects the brotherly relationship between our countries and marks the beginning of significant economic cooperation and partnership,” Minister al-Sha’ar said, according to the ministry’s Telegram channel. “Together, we are writing a new chapter in history, shaped by our collaborative efforts,” he added.

Al-Sha’ar’s comments followed Minister Bulat’s visit to Damascus last Wednesday, where he was accompanied by several Turkish officials and businessmen. During the two-day visit, he held discussions with various relevant parties. Before returning to Turkey, Minister Bulat expressed a desire to negotiate a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
