Egypt and Qatar emphasize the importance of preserving Syria’s unity and ensuring the well-being and stability of its people

During a meeting today in Doha, the capital of Qatar, Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi emphasized the importance of preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and safeguarding the capabilities of its citizens.

The official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, shared a statement on his official Facebook page, indicating that el-Sisi and Al-Thani discussed regional situations and various current issues.

They exchanged views on efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza Strip and to address the worsening humanitarian crisis there, emphasizing the need to provide adequate humanitarian aid to prevent a disaster.

Both leaders firmly rejected the displacement of Palestinians from their land and emphasized the importance of working towards a political solution that leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
