Syrian women’s youth football team came third in the 5th West Asian Youth Championship in Jordan 

AMMAN, Apr.12, (ST)-The Syrian women’s youth football team came third in the 5th West Asian Youth Championship held in Jordan, beating its Kuwaiti counterpart 7-1 in a match held today to determine third and fourth place.

The teams of Jordan, Palestine, Kuwait, and Syria participated in the tournament. The 1st round was held in a single-stage league system, with each team playing against the other.

Our national team opened the first round of the tournament with a 2-0 loss to Jordan, then defeated Kuwait 6-1 and tied with Palestine 1-1.
