Syria, Azerbaijan agree on exchanging visits by high-level official and business delegations

BAKU, Apr.12, (ST)-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has affirmed his country’s readiness to participate in the reconstruction efforts in Syria, ensuring enhanced security and stability there.

This was followed by the dispatch of a diplomatic delegation to Syria and the resumption of the Azerbaijani embassy in Damascus, after a long period of closure due to the policies of the former regime.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed the development of trilateral cooperation relations between Syria, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, the agency added.

It indicated that an agreement was reached on facilitating the exchange of visits by high-level official delegations and businessmen from both countries.
