A vigil organized in Duma on the seventh anniversary of the chemical massacre committed by the defunct regime

On the seventh anniversary of the chemical massacre in the city of Douma, which was committed by the forces of the defunct regime, and killed 43 civilians, including several children and women, thousands of people of the city, in addition to Syrian human rights and media figures, rallied in memory of this crime and its victims.

The participants in the Vigil, who gathered in front of an expressive art painting with the participation of children that depicts of the fall of barrels loaded with chemical gases on the city, carried photos of the victims of the massacre, and also raised banners demanding the trial of the head of the former regime for committing this massacre.

They confirmed that the security services of that regime burned and hid the bodies of the victims in an attempt to obscure the evidence of the crime.

Members of the Red Crescent division raised photos documenting the effects of the shelling that affected the Crescent ambulances to prevent them from helping the injured at the time.

 

Minister of Emergencies and Disasters Raed Al-Saleh, who participated in the vigil, confirmed during a statement to journalists that the quest will not stop to hold the deposed president accountable and try all those involved in committing these massacres before international courts.

Meanwhile, the people of Moadamiyet al-Sham and Al-Tal city in Damascus countryside organized a popular demonstration in support of the people of Gaza and denouncing the genocidal war committed by the Israeli occupation.
