AJet launches flights from Istanbul to Damascus at ticket prices starting from $149 or €149

ANKARA, Mar.29, (ST)-Turkiye’s Transportation and Infrastructure Minister, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, announced that AJet will begin direct flights from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Ankara’s Esenboga Airport to Damascus, Syria.

The new flight routes are scheduled to start on April 21, 2025, marking a significant expansion of Türkiye’s regional air travel network.

“Now, AJet is launching flights from Sabiha Gokcen Airport on the Anatolian side of Istanbul and Esenboga Airport in Ankara to Damascus,” Uraloglu said in a statement, recalling the beginning of direct flights to Syria from Istanbul earlier this year.

The new service follows the commencement of Istanbul-Damascus flights by Turkish Airlines in January 2025, which re-established air links between Türkiye and Syria after a long hiatus.

AJet has set ticket prices starting from $149 or €149 for the new Damascus route.

The airline has also emphasized its commitment to providing quality service and increasing its route network as part of its ongoing expansion plans.

With this new addition, AJet joins Turkish Airlines as the second Turkish carrier to launch flights to Damascus after a 13-year break, according to agencies.
