Al-Sharaa discusses with the Civil Defense Institution means of cooperation and coordination

Means of cooperation and coordination regarding emergency cases, referrals, and disasters were discussed in a meeting held today by the Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa, with the Director of the Syrian Civil Defense, Raed Al-Saleh, and his accompanying delegation.The two sides stressed the need to activate a central operations room for referral and ambulance, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health to transfer patients between health facilities and governorates.Dr. Al-Sharaa stressed the need for a joint mechanism and action plan between the ministry and civil defense, and to work together to activate the disaster medicine system, through providing ambulances for Disaster Management Department equipped with all the required services.He also stressed the importance of holding training courses for communication officials in the room  to deal and coordinate with the rest of the cadres from the Civil Defense, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and other concerned parties.In turn, Al-Saleh stressed the availability of trained cadres, modern mechanisms and equipment at the Civil Defense Institution, which contributes to rescue operations in disaster situations and coping with any accident.He talked  about organizing several training courses and awareness sessions on Security, Safety, first aid and others, targeting various segments of society.
