Egyptian Foreign Minister affirms his country’s support for the Syrian people and the fulfillment of their aspirations

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty reaffirmed Egypt’s support for the Syrian people and the fulfillment of their aspirations during his meeting in Cairo with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas.

The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, said in a press release published on the ministry’s official website that Minister Abdel Aty discussed with Kallas bilateral relations between Egypt and the European Union, as well as the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest, including the situation in Syria.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “Minister Abdel Aty reaffirmed Egypt’s support for the Syrian people and the fulfillment of their aspirations during the meeting.”
He also emphasized “the importance of launching a comprehensive political process that takes into account all components of the Syrian people without excluding any party, in order to achieve security and stability in Syria.”
