Jordanian King Abdullah II reaffirmed his country’s support for Syria’s efforts to maintain its unity, sovereignty, and stability during a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday night.
The two sides discussed regional developments, with a particular focus on the Israeli escalation in Gaza.
The Jordan News Agency, “Petra,” reported that the Jordanian king emphasized his country’s support for Syria’s efforts to preserve its unity, sovereignty, and stability.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, “Petra” added that the Jordanian king stressed the importance of resuming the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza in order to mitigate the worsening humanitarian crisis there.
King Abdullah II reiterated Jordan’s stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, highlighting the danger of the ongoing attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and the violations of Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.
