The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territory, stressing that they constitute a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: Egypt considers the Israeli raids on the lands of the Syrian Arab Republic to be an attempt to impose a fait accompli and reflect Israel’s insistence on continuing to aggravate tension in the region.
Concluding its statement, the Ministry called on international actors and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities in condemning these repeated Israeli violations, putting an end to Israel’s irresponsible policies, and obligating Israel to end its occupation of Syrian territory and comply with the rules of international law.
