British Minister: We do not want the Syrian people to suffer from the sanctions

British Minister for the Middle East Hamish Falconer said that the fall of the former Syrian regime was a good thing for Syria and its people.

Falconer added : “We do not want the Syrian people to suffer from the sanctions imposed under Bashar al-Assad’s regime”. He noted that his country wants to see an inclusive government in Syria,

Falconer continued: Syria now has the opportunity to become a more secure and stable country.

Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani met with British Minister for the Middle East Hamish Falconer on the sidelines of the Brussels donor conference on Syria held the day before yesterday.
