The spokesman of the Ministry of Endowments, Mr. Ahmed Al-Hallaq, said: “with the start of preparations for the Hajj season of the year 1446 AH, a meeting was held yesterday in the Saudi city of Jeddah, between representatives of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the delegation of the Ministry of Endowments represented by Mr. Dia al-Din Barsha, Deputy Minister, Mr. Samer Bayrakdar, director of Hajj and Umrah, Mr. Mohammed Noor Araj, deputy director of Hajj and Umrah, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Hallaq, director of Public Relations.
During the meeting, the delegation of the Ministry of Endowments stressed the importance of joint cooperation between the two parties to ensure the best means of comfort and facilitation for Syrian pilgrims, while providing all the necessary services to achieve maximum safety and comfort, Al-Hallaq added.
He went on to say, “We have agreed with the Saudi side that Syria’s quota of pilgrims for the 1446 AH season is 22,500 pilgrims.
