OIC welcomes agreement to merge Syrian civil and military institutions

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed the agreement to integrate all civilian and military institutions in northeastern Syria into Syrian state institutions.

In a brief statement posted on its website last night, the organization’s General Secretariat affirmed that the agreement represents a step forward in preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty and in moving forward toward building the Syrian state institutions to fulfill the aspirations of all Syrians.
