Presidential decree to form an independent national committee to investigate and fact-find on the events in the Syrian coast.

Based on the requirements of national reconciliation, the supreme interest, and the commitment to achieving civil peace and revealing the truth, the President of the Republic decrees the following:

First:
The formation of an independent national committee to investigate and fact-find regarding the events in the Syrian coast that took place on March the 6th , 2025.
The committee members are:
-Judge Juma Al-Darwish Al-Izzi
-Judge Khaled Adwan Al-Hallou
-Judge Ali Al-Nassaan
-Judge Alaa Al-Din Youssef Al-Tamimi
-Judge Hadi Abu Saleh
-Brigadier General Awad Ahmad Al-Ali

-Lawyer Bassam Al-Farhan
Second:
The committee shall carry out the following tasks:
-Uncover the reasons, circumstances, and conditions that led to these events.
-Investigate violations against civilians and identify those responsible.
-Investigate attacks on public institutions, security personnel, and military forces, and determine those responsible.
-Refer individuals proven to be involved in committing crimes and violations to the judiciary.
Third:
All relevant government entities must cooperate with the committee as required for it to fulfill its tasks.
Fourth:
The committee has the right to seek the assistance of whoever it deems appropriate to carry out its duties. It must submit its report to the Presidency of the Republic within thirty days from the date of this decree.
