Jordan exempts Syrian Refugees from some customs services fees if they voluntarily return to their country
Jordan’s Minister of Government Communication and official Spokesman of the Jordanian Government Mohammad Al-Momani stated today that the Cabinet has decided to exempt Syrian refugees from fees of certain customs services if they voluntarily leave to their home country.
Al-Momani clarified that Jordan’s position regarding the voluntary return of Syrian refugees is clear, noting that the environment in Syria encourages the Syrians in Jordan to return voluntarily.
He emphasized that Jordan’s relationship with Syria is fraternal and deep-rooted, and that Jordan has made its resources available to assist Syrians in passing the transitional phase.
Al-Momani also condemned the Israeli bombardment of areas in Syria, describing it as a violation of Syrian sovereignty.
