Qatar and Kuwait condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, affirming that they are a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and unity, as well as a gross violation of international law.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in a statement today on its official website the “necessity for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities to compel the Israeli occupation to comply with international legitimacy resolutions and to stop the repeated assaults on Syrian territory, in order to prevent further escalation and tension in the region.”
For its part, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA): “The State of Kuwait expresses its strong condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on several areas in Syria, which are considered a blatant violation of international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the United Nations Charter.”
Qatar and Kuwait reiterated their firm position supporting Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and backing all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Syria and fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people.
