Governor of Aleppo Discusses with Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Cooperation Mechanisms

The Governor of Aleppo, Eng. Azam al-Gharib, discussed with an official delegation of Turkey headed by Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Munir Kral-Oglu mechanisms for cooperation in various fields.

The Aleppo Governorate explained through its Telegram channel that the two sides discussed ways of cooperation between Syrian and Turkish institutions to improve the industrial and commercial environment, simplify procedures and promote investment.

Mechanisms for organizing the voluntary return of Syrians from Turkey, facilitating their registration procedures, unifying the administrative system in Aleppo governorate, and resolving problems of civil records and legal restrictions were also discussed during the meeting.

The meeting stressed the importance of cooperation in supporting development, service and reconstruction projects in accordance with an integrated vision that includes displaced persons and returning refugees.

The Turkish delegation included the governor of Kilis, the Turkish consul in Aleppo, as well as representatives of the Immigration Department, Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), security, and intelligence.
