Ministry of Education and French Libraries Without Borders Organization Discuss Strengthening Cooperation 

Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education Youssef Annan discussed with a delegation from the French Libraries Without Borders organization means to enhance educational cooperation in the areas of school restoration, establishing a mobile electronic library, and free offline websites and applications for students.

During a meeting, the two sides discussed mechanisms for training teachers, preparing classes for blended learning, providing them with computers and projectors.

They also discussed cooperating with a number of schools to implement the organization’s activities.

Annan referred to the necessity of implementing the organization’s activities according to the priorities determined by the ministry based on needs. He explained the importance of working to rehabilitate educational facilities and schools, that are out of service, in cooperation with the organization to implement activities after school hours, in addition to the possibility of training French language teachers.

For his part, the organization’s delegation noted the importance of monitoring the capabilities of schools that can be used, and determining the needs they require to develop a plan to implement activities. The organization also stressed the importance of coordination with international organizations operating in Syria within the education sector.
