UAE President confirms to US Secretary of State his country’s rejection of the displacement of Palestinians

During his meeting today with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s firm rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that bin Zayed stressed the need to reconstruct Gaza to reach the path leading to comprehensive and lasting peace based on the “two-state solution” as the way to achieve stability in the region.

He stressed the importance of working to avoid expanding the conflict in the region that threatens regional peace.

Bin Zayed discussed with the US Secretary of State relations of cooperation and joint work between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields to achieve their mutual interests.

The meeting also touched on a number of regional and international issues of common interest and developments in the Middle East.
