Al-Daghaim: The National Dialogue Conference Implements the Spirit of International Resolutions Led by the Syrians Themselves

The spokesman of the Preparatory Committee for the National Dialogue Conference, Hassan Al-Daghaim, confirmed that the dialogue held today is a Syrian dream and a victory achieved through the participation of the Syrian people in choosing their country’s authorities and constitution, after decades of repression and tyranny.

“The conference implements the spirit of international resolutions as the Syrians themselves lead the national dialogue , by discussing the situation of their country in various fields, and through experts inside their country and abroad”. Al-daghaim told journalists participating in the dialogue seminar of the Preparatory Committee for the National Dialogue Conference held today at the Ministry of information.

He pointed out that there will be a different opposition after the elections and the issuance of the parties Law, and this is normal in the state of citizenship, as Syria will not be a one-party state.‏ “The Israeli presence on Syrian territory will be brought up in the dialogue from the principle of the unity and sovereignty of Syria,” Al-Daghaim said, stressing the need to lift sanctions imposed on the country.

Regarding the dialogue session held in Homs Governorate yesterday, Al-daghaim pointed out that the attendance was diverse, representing different sects, religions and specialties, in addition to the participation of civil society organizations.
