The Media Office of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority discuss enhancing cooperation in the civil aviation sector.

The Media Office of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement “Based on an official invitation from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, a delegation from the General Civil Aviation Authority of the Syrian Arab Republic visited the State of Qatar. During the visit, a series of important meetings and discussions were held, culminating in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides to enhance cooperation in the civil aviation sector.

The statement added “The agreement was signed today in Doha in an atmosphere of cordiality and friendship, with both sides expressing their desire to strengthen bilateral relations in the field of civil aviation in a spirit of cooperation and full awareness of mutual interests.”

It pointed out that the Memorandum of Understanding included several key provisions, such as discussing ways to enhance cooperation in civil aviation services, including air navigation and infrastructure, as well as cooperation in training and development.

“The Syrian delegation visited the operations management headquarters of Qatar Airways and discussed potential future cooperation between Syrian Air and Qatar Airways. ” The statement said. ”

The Qatari side expressed its willingness to train staff from the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority and SyrianAir in the State of Qatar.” The media office expressed.

The Syrian delegation also visited the Air Traffic Controllers Training Center in Doha, where an agreement was reached to sign a contract for training Syrian air traffic controllers in Qatar.
