Syrian Intelligence Service arrests ISIS ringleader “Abu al-Harith al-Iraqi”
Today, a source at Syrian Intelligence Service declared that it had managed to arrest Abu al-Harith al-Iraqi, a ringleader in the ISIS Organization.
According to the source, Abu al-Harith occupied significant positions in the Province of Iraq,” including overseeing the file of new arrivals and serving as the deputy head of logistics, and he was involved in numerous attacks carried out by ISIS.
The source clarified the cell, whose plan to target the shrine of Sayyidah Zaynab in the vicinity of Damascus was operating under the direction of the leader Abu al-Harith al-Iraqi.
It concluded by saying: “This operation is part of a series of operations to pursue ISIS cells in the region, where several of its members who were trying to carry out operations in various areas have been arrested.”
