Participants in the Paris Conference on Syria issued a statement at the end of the conference’s activities.
They emphasized the need to ensure the success of the political transition process led by Syria and with the participation of all Syrians.
The participants supported the holding og the National Dialogue Conference with the participation of the Syrians at home and abroad
They called for recognizing the transitional government and supporting its commitment to respecting freedoms and human rights
They called for providing support to the transitional government to ensure that terrorist groups do not return.
The participants stressed the necessity of the cessation of hostilities and the unification of Syrian territory within a negotiated political settlement.
They called for working to mobilize the international community to increase humanitarian aid and raise the volume of early recovery assistance.
The participants called for supporting Syria’s efforts to ensure accountability and combat impunity and urged respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with the UN Charter, international law and Security Council resolutions.
The Participants agreed on sparing no effort to ensure a peaceful, credible, orderly and inclusive transition and on combating the production and smuggling of Captagon and fighting organized criminal networks.
They agreed to facilitate access to prisons and establish mechanisms to ensure accountability.
