Al-Shibani in Paris on first visit to the European Union

Reuters, quoting a French official, said that the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shibani heads the Syrian delegation to the Paris meeting, on his first visit to the European Union since the fall of Assad regime

The agency added that the Paris meeting aims to help the new administration and give it time to establish security and stability in the country.

The meeting aims to coordinate efforts to achieve a peaceful transition that guarantees the country’s sovereignty and security, Reuters quoted the French official as saying.

The meeting aims to mobilize Syria’s neighboring countries and its main partners to coordinate aid and economic support, the French official asserted, according to Reuters.
