President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday that the government is keen on enhanced ties will all countries, especially the neighboring states, IRNA reported.
The president made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian new ambassadors to Lebanon, Croatia, Kuwait, Cyprus, Poland and Lithuania as well as Iranian envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The president lauded the efforts being made by the ambassadors to develop Iranian relations and economic cooperation with other countries.
He said international cooperation should serve as a principle to implement the economic development projects for the welfare and prosperity of the nation.
He said that for the time being, many international issues can not be solved without cooperation among countries.
He made it clear that cooperation is not in contradiction with independence of countries.
He cited approval of the WAVE initiative put forward by the President at the UN General Assembly as indication of opportunities and grounds for cooperation among countries.

He advised the ambassadors to make use of the common grounds with the other countries to build close ties on mutual interests.
Wishing success for Iranian envoys during their mission, the president said Iranian ambassadors should try to encourage foreign investment in Iran.
Democracy in Iraq deep-rooted, says Larijani
On the other hand, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday thatIraq’s parliamentary elections with high turnout showed that Iraqi democracy is deep-rooted, He made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Roj Nuri Shawis.
The Iraqi parliamentary election was an example of a successful election with international standard, the Speaker noted.
Larijani called for expansion of all-out ties with Iraq in all fields including trade, facilitation of banking transactions for the two countriesˈ private sectors as well as the resolution of the regional environmental problems.
Iraq deputy prime minister for his part noted that removal of all terrorist groups and establishment of peace and security in Iraq is a national demand.
Shawis welcomed the development of ties with Tehran, calling Tehran as a real friend for the Iraqi nation.
The Iraqi deputy prime minister, heading a delegation of Iraqi economic activists arrived in Tehran on Sundayafternoon.
