Presidency calls on Syrians to respect candidates’ advertising campaigns

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic has called on the Syrian citizens to positively deal with the democratic atmosphere of elections.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic appealed to the Syrian citizens today to respect the advertising campaigns of candidates for the office of the president, noting that respect means adherence to the law and constitution and thus respect for the homeland and citizen.

The presidency also urged all Syrians to express their opinions about any candidate freely and transparently through the ballot boxes.  

“The current transparent presidential elections in Syria reflect the Syrians’ culture and their deep-rooted history in respecting others,” the presidency said.
