The Syrian team has won three “gold, silver and bronze” medals at the Second Logic and Mathematics Games Competition, held by the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) this year in Saudi Arabia, on the twenty-ninth of this month.
Student Mais al-Najjar from Homs Governorate won the gold medal, while the student Karim Abu Saleh from Damascus countryside won the silver medal, and the student Yahya Hamdan from Homs won the bronze medal.
It is noteworthy that this is the first participation of Syria in the competition, which took place “remotely” from the headquarters of the Excellence and Creativity Authority in Damascus, through four students from the basic education stage. The students were nominated by the scientific committee for mathematics in the Department of the Syrian scientific Olympiad at the commission, and within the conditions and criteria set by the ALECSO committee.
