Royal Jordanian Airlines will resume flights to Damascus starting tomorrow

Royal Jordanian Airlines announced that it will operate its first commercial flights tomorrow morning, Friday, to Damascus International Airport.

Jordanian media quoted the company as saying in a statement today: “This flight comes in conjunction with the decision of the Jordanian Ministry of Interior to allow Jordanian citizens to travel by air from the airports of Jordan to the international airports of Damascus and Aleppo, starting from the date of the start of the flights.”

The company explained that it “will operate 4 flights weekly from Queen Alia International Airport to Damascus Airport, as part of its commitment and keenness to be one of the first airlines to resume direct flights to Damascus, with the aim of providing air connectivity to the Syrian market with countries around the world.”

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority Haitham Misto pointed out that “the authority is studying a new request from another Jordanian airline to operate its flights to Damascus International Airport”.
