Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani reaffirmed her country’s firm position in supporting the choices of the Syrian people and providing all forms of assistance to achieve their aspirations for progress and prosperity.
The Qatar News Agency stated that the Permanent Representative, during a virtual meeting today with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Syria Geir Pedersen, stressed Qatar’s keenness to lift sanctions as an essential step to support security and stability in the Syrian Arab Republic.
