Statement of the Military Operations Command announcing the victory of the Syrian Revolution

Spokesman of the Military Operations Command, Colonel Hassan Abdul Ghani, announced the victory of the Syrian Revolution.

In the statement of the Military Operations Command, Colonel Abdul Ghani congratulated the Syrian people on the victory of their blessed revolution, which constitutes the legitimacy that represents them.

“We declare the victory of the great Syrian Revolution, and consider the 8th of December of each year a Nationaal Day”, Colonel Abdul Ghani said.

He announced the cancellation of the  Constitution of 2012, the suspension of all laws, the dissolving of the People’s Assembly formed during the era of the former regime, along with its affiliated committees.

Colonel Abdel Ghani also announced the dissolution of the former regime’s army and the rebuilding of the Syrian army on national foundations.

“We announce the dissolution of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party, the National Progressive Front parties, and all their affiliated organizations, institutions, and committees. Their reformation under any other name is strictly prohibited, and all their assets shall revert to the Syrian state,” Colonel Abdel Ghani added.

He also announced the dissolution of all security bodies affiliated with the former regime, and their various branches and names and the formation of a new security institution that preserves the security of citizens.

Colonel Abdel Ghani also announed that all military factions, revolutionary political and civil bodies are to be dissolved and integrated into state institutions.

“We announce the appointment of leader Ahmad Al-Sharaa as President of Syria during the transitional period. He assumes the duties of the Syrian presidency and represents it at international forums, Colonel Abdel-Ghani said.

“We authorize the President of the Republic to form a temporary legislative council for the transitional stage that will assume its duties until a permanent constitution for the country is approved and put into effect,” he added.
