The axis of extremism defeated

It has been crystal clear that the so-called Arab Spring project, which was concocted by the US, Israel and their allies, used the guise of religion to achieve sinister political and economic objectives.  The US has been using religion through supporting terrorist extremist groups to carry out the colonialist projects. However, four years after the start of this notorious project, extremists were defeated and the sinister project was foiled thanks to the high awareness of the Syrian people and their steadfastness in the face of conspiracy.  

The axis of extremism, exclusion and elimination which was formed by certain countries in the region has been defeated in every battlefield it entered after being faced by an opposing axis. This axis of extremism has been defeated in Syria, as the world has come to realize that those who are fighting the Syrian government on the ground are Al Qaeda takfiri terrorists who are committing atrocious massacres against Syrian people and destroying the infrastructure of their homeland.

The international community must intervene and join the fight against Al Qaeda, because otherwise it will burn the entire region and the world as a whole, because the development of events has shown that takfiri thought is like an epidemic that spreads quickly everywhere. The opposing coalition on the ground and the so-called free army is a bubble that has burst, because the party which has weapons and influence on the ground is Al Qaeda, and those who talk about supporting the opposition in Syria are actually supporting the terrorists of Al Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) who have been committing barbarous crimes against Syrian people and their homeland in implementation of the US-Zionist project that aims to destroy Syria and end resistance of  Israel as Syria constitutes the heart of the resistance axis in the region. This sinister project aims at keeping the Arab and Islamic nations busy with internal issues to distract them from the Arab-Israeli conflict to reach to eventually liquidating this conflict in line with the Zionists’ wishes.

The Arab League and some Security Council members assumed erroneous and biased positions as they have been complicit in the bloodshed in Syria and the escalation of the crisis in it. Those who are betting on a military solution in Syria will not succeed, and the weapons provided by some countries to the so-called opposition end up in the hands of murderers from Al Qaeda and its affiliated fronts. National, religious and human duty requires one to combat Al Qaeda in Syria, because Syrian people are fighting terrorism on behalf of the whole world.

Saudi Arabia, which is enslaved by political and sectarian mentality and conceptions, interferes blatantly in Syria’s internal affairs, helps terrorists to enter it, and pay them with the aim of disseminating the seeds of the Wahhabi takfiri thought and undermining the peaceful co-existence Syrian people have been famed for since time immemorial.

Delivering advanced weapons to armed terrorist groups in Syria destabilizes situation and hinders any potential political solution to the crisis. Confrontation between the Syrian Arab Army and the terrorist groups has been dangerously escalated with media reports saying that  US anti-tanks missile systems of TOW were delivered to takfiri terrorist groups by western sources, among them Hazm terrorist Movement. If US Administration has allowed handing over the takfiri terrorists with those systems, this contradicts the statements that Washington is committed to the political settlement in Syria. Rather, it discloses clear facts about the involvement of the US in the bloodshed of the Syrian people and the aggravating situation in the country. It is one form of the political hypocrisy which has been practised by the US since the beginning of the crisis. Handing anti-tank missiles to terrorists, who use them against civilians, is dangerous, and will contribute to aggravate the situation in Syria. Those who provide the terrorists with weapons should be aware of the adverse consequences of such move and prevent violence from being escalated causing grave human losses among civilians.

The US and its allies have failed to achieve their objectives in Syria, and the policy of destabilizing countries around the world has backfired once again in Damascus. There is a long history of this kind of meddling and destabilizing governments in hopes of achieving some kind of political and economic objectives and once again, it has failed thanks to the heroic deeds of the Syrian Arab army and the massive support it receives from Syrian people. Not only the US but also primarily the Israeli regime, Saudi Arabia and other petro-dollar states are complicit in shedding the blood of Syrian people. These countries wanted to destabilize Syria and take it out of the equation as a significant power that could oppose Israel in the case of the Zionists and could oppose the Wahhabi agenda of Al Saud.  The countries involved in the conspiracy against Syria, particularly the US, France, Turkey and Saudi Arabia have sought since the very beginning to create excuses for justifying a continuation of the aggression against it.  But their attempts and real objectives were disclosed before the world public opinion.

Less than a year after the crisis, facts started to surface day after day. Reports, studies and documented research proved the involvement of the US, Turkey and several other countries, whether directly or indirectly, in these appalling carnages committed against defenceless Syria people.

The lengthy report of the investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published in London Review of Books magazine implicated the Turkish government in the Eastern Ghouta massacre and several other massacres in Syria. Hersh also revealed in the report that the US administration was privy to the crime and its perpetrators and had manipulated evidence proving that it was Jabhat al-Nusra who committed it to justify a US aggression against Syria. The renowned British author Robert Fisk endorsed Hersh’s findings in an article published by The Independent newspaper, confirming the Turkish involvement in Jabhat al-Nusra use of toxic agents in Eastern Ghouta with the US full knowledge.

The attempts to cover up such atrocities, levelling unfair accusations against the Syrian people and fabricating excuses will only serve to encourage armed terrorist groups to use these internationally-prohibited weapons time and again and commit more crimes against the Syrian people.

Syria has supplied the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General with important information that divulge intentions of terrorist groups to use chemical weapons in Damascus countryside, Hama countryside and several other areas across Syria to frame the Syrian government for the attack. Syria also sent a new document containing irrefutable proof that armed terrorist groups are in possession of the toxic chlorine which they intend to use in Aleppo governorate and other areas in Syria. The US administration, the Turkish government, Israel and Saudi Arabia and terrorist groups fully responsible for the previous crimes involving the use of chemical weapons in Syria or the ones that might be committed against the Syrian people in the future. The UN Security Council should shoulder responsibilities according to its counterterrorism resolutions and demand that countries supporting terrorists with weapons and funds refrain from it.

The strong national unity between Syrian people and the Syrian Arab Army will foil conspiracy and defeat the axis of terrorism and its supporters.
