Diverse National Products at the “Helwa ya Baladi” Festival in the Old Tartus Hall

Last night, “Helwa ya Baladi” festival ” My Country is beautiful” was opened at the Old Tartus Hall on the seaside corniche. The event is organized by the Salam Foundation for International Exhibitions and Conferences, under the auspices of the Tartus Governorate and the Tartus City Council.

The festival features the participation of 35 local national companies and includes goods, food products, clothing, as well as handmade products from various artisans. It will continue until February 1st, offering goods and products at reasonable prices with discounts reaching up to 80%, according to Salam Yassin, the head of the organizing foundation.

Yassin added in a statement to SANA that the significance of the festival lies in its timing, coming after liberation from the former regime. It serves as an opportunity and an invitation for everyone to return to life and to invigorate economic, social, and tourism activities in the country. It aims to encourage economic actors to work again, emphasizing the quality of Syrian products and local industries amid the prevalence of foreign products.

For their part, several participants confirmed that the festival is a suitable opportunity to showcase local products while also being a motivation for factories and manufacturing units to operate under better conditions than before. They expressed hope that the new government would improve economic working conditions through supportive legislation for national products.
