Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the caretaker government Abdel Moneim Abdel Hafez discussed with the Charge d’Affairs of the Iraqi embassy in Damascus Jabir Shalal Akab, the activation of academic cooperation programs between the two countries.
Minister Abdel Hafez noted the importance of joint efforts to reactivate academic cooperation relations within the framework of cultural exchange agreements between the two sides.
He expressed the ministry’s readiness to make all possible efforts to address and follow up on pending files regarding students and professors and their conditions in the universities of both countries.
For his part, Ambassador Akab stressed the need to activate cooperation and exchange expertise at the university level.
