Turkey affirmed its support for the efforts of the new Syrian administration to preserve Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
A statement issued by the Turkish National Security Council, which was held yesterday under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and published by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency on the “X” platform, stated:
“Ankara affirms its support for the new Syrian administration to ensure sovereignty, unified structure, territorial integrity and political unity of the state. In addition, Ankara also supports securing the basic rights and freedoms of all ethnic, religious and sectarian groups in the country, rebuilding Syria, and achieving security for the Syrian people.”
The statement stressed that the escalation of Israeli violations that ignore international law and their expansion to more Syrian lands constitute an obstacle to establishing stability in the region.
