Head of the Syrian Red Crescent branch in Quneitra Jumaa Hassan affirmed that effective psychological and social support, health care, and appropriate treatment were provided to about 33 people released from the prisons and detention centers of the former regime.
According to “Al-Watan Online” newspaper, the released prisoners needed psychological and social support as they were exposed to harsh experiences and ill-treatment during their detention.
Hassan explained the physical and psychological torture they suffered from, indicating that many of them suffer from tuberculosis and some of them have permanent disabilities.
