Al-Sheibani meets with the Turkish President in Ankara

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Sheibani today met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish Minister Hakan Fidan in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Al-Sheibani is on an official visit to Turkey

This is the first visit of a high-level Syrian delegation to Turkey after the liberation of Syria from the former regime.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said yesterday on X that he will represent the new Syria on the first official visit to the Turkish Republic, which has not abandoned the Syrian people for 14 years.

In his visit, Al-Sheibani is accompanied by Defense Minister, Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, and Head of the General Intelligence Service Anas Khattab.
