Syrian-French Council denounces provocative calls for foreign intervention in Syria

The Syrian-French Council has strongly condemned the provocative calls for foreign intervention in Syria and for violating the Syrian sovereignty.

“The Syrian people are a cohesive fabric of homogeneous social components that have lived together over generations, united by bonds of love, brotherhood, and coexistence, under the umbrella of citizenship” , the Syrian-French Council said in a statement reported by SANA.

The statement explained that the defunct regime sought to divide these components through inventing the term “minorities” to sow discord and spread hatred.

“The Syrian-French Council trusts the Syrian people’s awareness about the malicious goals behind these calls, which the wise men of the people have confronted with demands to take firm legal measures under the Syrian Penal Code, ” the statement clarified.

The statement added that the Syrian-French Council affirms the Syrians’ keenness on the unity and independence of their country, and that they resist and reject any call to tear apart the national fabric, as the defunct regime did.
