President al-Assad, Mrs. Al-Assad Received Martyrs daughters, Sons

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Marking the Martyrs Day of May 6th anniversary President Bashar al- Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad yesterday met daughters and sons of martyrs.

“Martyrs Day is dear, and means a lot to us, and we have been always feel proud of our martyrs, who protected the homeland, and their families everywhere in the homeland,” President al-Assad said.

“Each and every one of you should be proud of his father, who gave his blood for the sake of the homeland,” the President noted, adding, “if all people are strong, solid and not scared, like you and your families, we would eventually be victorious against terrorists.

The President concluded his speech hoping:” Next Martyrs day, we meet, God willing, we will not only celebrate the martyrs but also victory over the terrorists who committed the most heinous crimes against the Syrian people.

Then, the President and Ms al-Assad exchanged talks with the sons and daughters of martyrs,, during which the President assured them that all Syrians always take pride in the martyrdom of those who died in the earlier stages of Syria ‘s history or who were martyred during the current war with the terrorists.

The President added that the families of the martyrs are also a source of pride because their strength and courage were the basis for Syria’s steadfastness, and will be one of the main reasons for our victory against terrorism.

The President indicated that without the preparedness of the Syrians to defend their country, and martyrs heroism, Syria will not be able to survive and” we were not able to meet at this place and talk with each other.”

In turn, Mrs. Asma al-Assad stressed to the sons and daughters of the martyrs that the courage of their parents should be an incentive for them to exert more efforts in their studies and excel so as to be the next heroes, prepared to defend the homeland, equipped with learning and excellence as always wished by their parents.
