Sheikh Naim Qassem: The Lebanese resistance will stand by Syria to thwart the terrorist aggression

Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem has affirmed that the terrorist aggression on Syria is sponsored by the United States and “Israel”, with the Takfiri groups as their tools. He has also stressed that the Lebanese resistance will stand by Syria to thwart the aggression.

In a statement on Thursday, Qassem said “after the failure of the United States and the Israeli entity in Gaza Strip and after the agreement to end the aggression in Lebanon, and after the failure of the attempts to neutralize Syria, these parties are now trying to achieve gains by destroying Syria and transferring it from the position of resistance to another position that serves the Israeli enemy, but they will not be able to achieve their goals despite what they have done, and we as Hezbollah will stand by Syria’s side to thwart this aggression as much as we can.”

Qassem also said that international Resolution No. 1701 has mechanisms, including Lebanon’s restoration of its borders within the specified time period, noting that “Israel” has committed more than 60 violations of the agreement, which requires firm follow-up by the Lebanese state.

Sheikh Qassem reiterated that the resistance is committed to defending the right of the Lebanese and Palestinians to liberate their land, which is a source of strength for the resistance, indicating that the resistance will work to evaluate the crises it has gone through and draw lessons to develop its performance in various fields.
