Sabbagh receives a call from his Venezuelan counterpart regarding the latest developments in northern Syria
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh received a phone call from his Venezuelan counterpart, Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ivan Hill; concerning the latest developments in northern Syria resulting from the terrorist attacks on it.
Minister Sabbagh explained to his Venezuelan counterpart the size and scope of the terrorist groups’ attack on Aleppo and Idlib, which disrupted all aspects of life, and led to a large wave of displacement.
He stressed that the Syrian state will continue its war to combat terrorism and work to restore security and stability and preserve the unity, sovereignty, and integrity of its territories.
For his part, Minister Hill expressed his country’s strong condemnation of the terrorist acts carried out by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the terrorist Jabhat al-Nusra.
He affirmed the Bolivarian Venezuela’s commitment to peace, stressing the solidarity of the President of the Republic of Venezuela and the Venezuelan people with Syria, its leadership and people.
