Araqchi Confirms Iran’s Support for the Syrian Government, People and Army in their Fight Against Terrorism

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh received a telephone call from his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi, during which they reviewed the developments in the region, in particular the terrorist attack led by the al-Nusra Front on Aleppo province and its countryside in northern Syria.
Minister Sabbagh pointed out that this terrorist attack services the goals of the project of the Israeli entity and its sponsors in the region. He added that Syria has always warned of the open coincidence between the Israeli entity’s attacks on Syria and the attacks carried out by these terrorist groups in Syria, stressing the continuation of Syria, its people and its valiant army to deal with them resolutely. For his part, Minister Araqchi stressed that the revival of terrorist groups in Syria is an American-Zionist project, reiterating Iran’s continued support for the Syrian government, people and army in combating terrorism and maintaining regional security and stability.
