The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Sends Humanitarian aid to Fire Affected People in Latakia and the Countryside of Homs

As part of the ongoing efforts to support those affected by the fires, the Ministry of Social Affairs and labor, in coordination with non-governmental organizations in Damascus, sent a humanitarian aid convoy to Homs and Latakia governorates.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour stated in a post on its official Facebook page that the aid which arrived in Homs governorate included 513 food baskets.
It indicated that the aid shipment to Latakia province included 387 food baskets, with an additional 115 baskets to be sent later, as well as clothing, blankets and medicines.
The ministry pointed out that the Directorate of Affairs delivered the medicines to the Directorate of Health in Latakia to be distributed exclusively to those affected by the fires, after evaluating them in terms of quality, expiration date and method of use, indicating that these humanitarian initiatives come as an expression of solidarity and support that those affected need in their difficult circumstances.

The Ministry confirmed that it continues its efforts with local partners to ensure that assistance reaches those most in need, which contributes to alleviating their suffering through concerted community efforts.
